The NaPoWriMo prompt for today is to write a georgic in honour of Earth Day. Georgic is a poem dealing with practical aspects of agriculture and rural affairs.
I have not written a georgic but on the eve of Earth Day, I have written a Tanka to share my thoughts on the mighty creation of Lord.
I have used the prompt words “Wish” and “Magic” for Colleen’s Weekly Poetry Challenge # 30.
the magic of God
idyllic prolific Earth
conception of man
to revere and preserve it
wish we justified our birth
Good one Vandana…I still do not know what shall or will I write…

Thanks Sangbad. I was a little tied up for the day so thought of posting a little early. Also, the prompt needed a little time to understand, so thought of writing for earth day. All the best to you 🙂

The last line is perfect — the questioning of us as stewards of this planet. What’s unsaid is, who will judge whether we have done well with our task or not.
