Today I’ve penned down something in my native language- Hindi. These are actually afterthoughts of reading a Hindi poem.
I’ve given the English translation below my original poem.
इक ख़्वाहिश
ठंडी हवा के झोंके जब पेड़ों को सरसराहें यूँ लगे तुम्हारी उँगलियाँ मेरे गालों को सहलाएँ फर्क सिर्फ इतना है कि इक हक़ीक़त है और इक ख़्वाहिश मगर दिल को उम्मीद है कि यह ख़्वाहिश भी हक़ीक़त की नज़र इक दिन होगी !
English translation
When gushes of cool breeze
swish and rustle the trees
I can feel your tender fingers
caress and fondle my cheeks
inconsistency is only this
one is a true blessing
while other …
other is a mere yearning
but my heart firmly believes
that one day
my desire too will witness
the light of truth!
