Today, the challenge is to write a poem that, incorporates wild, surreal images. Try to play around with writing that doesn’t make formal sense, but which engages all the senses and involves dream-logic.

I have tried to combine surrealism with ‘progressive’ form of poetry.

The first line has exactly 11 words,

The second line has exactly 10 words

The third line has exactly 9 words

And so on till 11th line that has just one word

Her head kept on tree, away from her torso,

The eyes on her hand, had another view

Elephant headed hummingbird, drowning whale in pond

Monkeys hunted for grass eating lions

A man galloped himself; completely

What world she’s in

Gluing her head,

She smiled,

Dreaming’
