NaPoWriMo Day 12: For today’s prompt (optional, as always), I’d like to challenge you to write a triolet. These eight-line poems involve repeating lines and a tight rhyme scheme.

I love this form of poetry and have written the same earlier too. Sharing my earlier triolets too to give you all the flavours 🙂

Triolet 1 (For NapoWriMo 2020)

I wonder…

I wonder if the world would crumble,

Wouldn’t thread of hope grip the humanity?

Is your faith perturbed or have you become more humble?

I wonder if the world would crumble,

If we resolve to burst the narcissist bubble

If we put an end to all immorality,

I wonder if the world would crumble,

Wouldn’t thread of hope hold the humanity?

Triolet 2: Nature

How wondrous are the ways of nature

Its silent beauty an element of admiration

Beholding in awe even its Creator

How wondrous are the ways of nature

Its serenity mesmerises every spectator

Instilling peace and illumination

How wondrous are the ways of nature

Its silent beauty an element of admiration

Triolet 3: Love Connoisseur

When romance is in the air

The magical melioration holds you in awe

As you feel extraordinaire

When romance is in the air

Waves of emotions submerge you anywhere

As you feign the role of Love Connoisseur

When romance is in the air

The magical melioration holds you in awe
