The challenge today is to take one of the following statements of something impossible, and then write a poem in which the impossible thing happens:

The sun can’t rise in the west.

A circle can’t have corners.

Pigs can’t fly.

The clock can’t strike thirteen.

The stars cannot rearrange themselves in the sky.

A mouse can’t eat an elephant.

Here’s my impossible list quilled into a verse 🙂

                                       Poem: Impossible is Possible

One day I decided to challenge myself

Being a yoga follower, I wished to sleep upturned

So with head on the floor and legs up in the sky

(Yes! you imagined it right!)

I lay for a few hours

Gazing colorful stars

When I noticed the luminaries

Dancing and repositioning themselves

They created some strange arrangements

And some new constellations

Amazed at this sight

I kept gazing at the sky

And soon it was dawn

Fetching a new amazement

The Earth stopped rotating

The Sun shone from the west

The clock struck thirteen

Aghast,

soon I was up

I decided it wasn’t fair

To disturb the natural affair

Since that paranormal day

I sleep straight on my circular bed

Whose edges I occasionally touch
